I graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Manitoba with a degree in Interior Design with 40+ years design practice, 20+ years teaching experience, and 25+ years photographic experience.
This professional backdrop informs my photography beyond photographic expertise.
I understand and appreciate design intent: the architectural envelope, user behaviour and function, and the impact and nuances of natural and artificial light.
I take photographs that accurately depict the realities of volumes, masses, light, setting and context. I create images that impart emotion, and images that are abstract interpretations - to transform without deforming.
I am prepared for surprise, joy, delight and the unexpectedness of serendipity.
